Learn fly-tying basics with Orvis in their Bryant Park shop! The 2-hour class will cover tools, materials, and techniques. You will learn to tie the famous Woolly Bugger to take home and try your next time out on the water (or give to a friend that plans to go out on the water)!

This class will be taught by Chris Wood, the Fishing Manager at Orvis NYC. Chris has spent most of the last four decades fishing, exploring the outdoors, and studying nature. The study of fish, their feeding behaviors, and their environmental requirements has been part of his daily life, professionally and/or recreationally, since the mid-80’s. Chris earned a BSc in Marine Science from Coastal Carolina University, which he utilized in the private manufacturing and consulting sector for nearly two decades before joining Orvis as the Fishing Manager of the New York City retail store.
